The Honest Truth ADI App

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application The Honest Truth (the Application) for mobile devices that was created by Firstcar Limited (the Company). The Application is an educational tool for driving instructors (ADIs) to use with their students.

What information does the Application collect?

When registering to use the Application, you will be asked to input your name and e-mail address (ADI Information). If you chose to register students to the app, you will be asked to input their name(s) and e-mail addresses(s) (Student Information). We will assume that if Student Information is inputted by you, then you have permission from the student to input this and GDPR responsibility for the input of this information is covered by permissions sought as part of your business.

Why is this information collected and what does the Company do with this information?

The company collects ADI Information and Student Information in order to send road safety messaging by e-mail.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

No, information is not shared with or sold to any third parties.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of further information by not inputting further information or by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Each e-mail we send will also have an ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the e-mail.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain ADI Information and Student Information until you ask us to delete it. If you’d like us to delete this data, please contact us at info@thehonesttruth.co.uk and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Alternatively you can unsubscribe from individual e-mails by using the ‘unsubscribe button’ at the bottom of the e-mail.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorised employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United Kingdom. If you reside outside the United Kingdom your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United Kingdom privacy standards.
