Helping young Football Players to ‘Drive Another Day’

The Honest Truth is currently working in Partnership with Pertemps Driver Training and the Professional Footballers’ Association to deliver the Safe Driver Workshop- ‘Drive Another Day.’

The PFA wanted to provide Clubs with a bespoke programme aimed at their Under 18 Scholars to encourage driving behaviour change. We have worked with Pertemps Driver Training to develop this effective Workshop, sharing our expertise around the driver behaviours of this age group. It is now offered to all Premier League and EFL Championship League Clubs, organised and delivered by expert Trainers from Pertemps Driver Training.

Using a range of teaching styles, the Players learn about relevant road traffic laws, covering areas such as seatbelts, speed, mobile phones, distractions, fatigue and drink and drug driving. Virtual Reality Goggles are also used within the session, allowing the boys to experience being involved in a road traffic collision and the aftermath (technology developed by Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service)

The Workshops are proving to be a great success, with many Clubs enquiring about Workshops for next season!
